Dear Karateka                                                                                                                                 12th March 2019

INTERNATIONAL GASHUKO (CAMP)  10 – 12  MAY 2019  –  OPPISEE CULTURAL CENTRE, MELKBOS

We are inviting all Senior karateka (all grades) and Junior karateka (minimum age 9), to attend our International Camp at OPPISEE CULTURAL CENTRE at Melkbos (Cape Town side of Melkbosstrand)  from 10th  to  12th MAY  2019.

We are again privileged to have 2 senior Japanese instructors attending our camp. Like 2018 it will be shihan Akiyama who is very knowledgeable about kata and weapons and Sensei Chinone who will take the tournament training and Iken. We will have separate traing for our tournament karateka on Saturday. Their main goal will be to teach our instructors and karateka to further develop their technical skills.  I want all karateka (especially the Black Belts) to do their utmost to attend this camp.   Karateka grading for Brown and Black belts in December 2019  MUST also attend this camp.

All karateka attending this camp from Friday to Sunday will receive an attendance certificate signed by myself and  the senior Japanese instructor.    The Japanese instructors will also sign the back of the dogi’s.

Please note that the camp fee, to be paid in advance is R800,00 for adults and R600.00 for scholars.   Everybody will benefit from training with these instructors as they make these classes very enjoyable.    The first 180 paid applications will be accepted – so please apply as soon as possible.   We have both camps and they only sleep 185 together and we need place for the instructors as well.

All karateka should report at the campsite (NO BUSSES) on Friday 10th of May 2019 at 18h00.   We will have an evening training session on Friday from 19h00. The karateka must be fetched on Sunday – 12th May 2019from 10h00 at the campsite.     A map will be available to Karateka attending the camp.
