Dear Karateka 23rd March 2015
INTERNATIONAL GASHUKO (CAMP) 22 – 24 MAY 2015 - STELLENBOSCH
We are inviting all Senior karateka (all grades) and Junior karateka (minimum age 8), to attend our International Camp at the Okkie Jooste Campsite in Jonkershoek from 22nd to 24th MAY 2015 .
This year will be 50 years since I started karate so we will have some special activities including a tournament at the DF Hall in Stellenbosch on Saturday 23rd May 2015 at 19h00 where we will have exhibition fights. The best fighters will be selected in April 2015 and parents will be informed in time. All the karateka from the camp will be transported to and from the tournament at no extra cost.
On Sunday 24th we will host a Black belt grading for Instructors from South Africa and Africa.
We are privileged to have Kancho Royama plus 2 top instructors from Japan who must still be appointed to instruct at the camp. Their main goal will be to teach our instructors and karateka to further develop their technical skills. I want all karateka (especially the Black Belts) to do their utmost to attend this camp. Karateka grading for Brown and Black belts in December 2015 MUST attend this camp.
All karateka attending this camp from Friday to Sunday will receive an attendance certificate signed by myself and the senior Japanese instructor. The Japanese instructors will also sign the back of the dogi’s.
Please note that the camp fee, to be paid in advance is R700,00 for adults and R500.00 for scholars. Everybody will benefit from training with these instructors as they make these classes very enjoyable. Post-dated cheques will beaccepted. The first 200 paid applications will be accepted – so please apply as soon as possible.
