13th LEN BARNES INTERNATIONAL MEMORIAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS – 12 SEPTEMBER 2015 – CAPE PENINSULA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (PENTECH), BELLVILLE SOUTH
We have the privilege to host the abovementioned tournament at PENTECH, BELLVILLE SOUTH.

has been selected to take part in this tournament: Not all Karateka are proficient enough to take part in his tournament. If a karateka received this letter with the name filled in, he/she was chosen by the instructor to take part. The first three places will receive medals.
THE FIGHTER’S FEE IS:
JUNIORS – R80.00
SENIORS – R100.00. (PLEASE PAY AT TOURNAMENT NOT BEFOREHAND)
IMPORTANT: FIGHTERS WHO WEIGH IN LATE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO FIGHT. FIGHTERS HAVE TO BE THE AGE ON THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT, e.g. U/7 MEANS THAT THE KARATEKA HAS NOT YET TURNED 8.

The u/13 have to be 12 or 13 on day of the tournament
UP TO U/13 – Will fight with full protection – gloves, shin & foot pads and headgear with mask.
The Cubs, u/15, have to be 14 or 15 on the day of the tournament.
Cubs – u/15 – will fight with gloves, shin & foot pads and headgear without mask.
YOUNG LIONS, u/17, have to be 16 or 17 on the day of the tournament.
The Young lions fight with shin & foot pads and gloves.
** ALL YOUNG LIONS / SENIOR FIGHTERS ARE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF AGE - NO PROOF, NO
NO FIGHTING!!
On Saturday from 8h00 – 8h30 we will have Referees refresher course. Referees must wear black pants, white shirt with tie.
The various referees, instructors as well as all helpers must please be at the venue at 07h15.
Spectators are welcome. Entrance fee: R30.00 for adults and R10.00 for children.
